Chief Franklin Igbodo started his career as a frontline sale executive of DHL Nigeria Limited after graduating as a Biological Scientist  from the University of Benin in 1990, before joining Shell as a Senior HSE Supervisor in the year 2000.

Since joining Shell, He has occupied critical roles in managing Aviation Safety Protective equipment (SME/TAI) for the Shell UIG region, Production HSE lead for the Gbaran Ubie Node, Restoration Lead for SPDC post UNEP Ogoni Project as Soil and Groundwater Scientist and currently Safety and Environment lead for the Corporate Pipelines PU SPDC.

His professional affiliations include: International Association for Impact Assessment, Nigeria Institute of Safety Professionals, Association for Environmental Impact Assessment of Nigeria (AEIAN), Process Safety Network (PSN), and Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Port Harcourt Branch.
