Youth Corper at Foresight Insurance Brokers, He rose to the position of manager before joining UTIB Insurance Brokers Limited in 1996, first as a coordinator, and later s GM/COO, a position he occupied until September, 2004, when he teamed up with Capital Express General Insurance Ltd as Chief Operating Officer. He returned to UTIB Insurance Brokers Ltd in September, 2006 as Chief Executive Office. In 2015, he supervised the buy-over of TOLA DOSUNMU INSURANCE BROKERS LTD, resulting in the change of name, shareholders and corporate structure.

A Chartered Insurance Practitioner. Mr Azurunwa is also an Associate Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (United Kingdom). The Nigerian council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB). And the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered). He holds a Master’s degree in Insurance and Risk management obtained from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). He is currently an International student of Politics and International relations at the renowned London School of Economics and Political science (University of London).

Consolidated Hallmarks Insurance Plc between 2007 and 2013. He consults for a wide spectrum of insurance institutions on cross border investment, recruitment, mergers and acquisitions. He is a columnist with the Niche Newspapers and holds the record of having lost no single claim in his over two decades of insurance brokerage at top management level.
