Owoeye joined Goldlink in 1994 and has pioneered the establishment of some of the branches of the company before rising to the position of Deputy General Manager in the company. He graduated with Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and obtained a Masters Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies, both from Lagos State University before proceeding to the Obafemi Awolowo University for Master of Business Administration.

He is also a Masters Degree holder both in Economics and Science Economics from the University of Lagos. A Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria; member of both Nigerian Institute of Management and Chartered Institute of Administration, Dapo began his Insurance career with Amicable Assurance Plc in 1990 as an Insurance Salesman and underwriter.
